Pilot Project compact.UNI Configuration with KEYENCE 2D/3D Laser Profile Scanner

We are thrilled to present our pilot project in collaboration with KEYENCE Germany, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of sensors.

To expand the capabilities of our modular assembly and inspection workstation, compact.UNI, we have developed a prototype in which the LJ-X8000 series 2D/3D laser profile sensor of KEYENCE has been installed on our base platform using a two-dimensional axis system.

Subsequently, in a collaborative workshop, test samples were selected based on realistic application scenarios and subjected to comprehensive profile testing on the prototype system.

The test results have convinced us. Thanks to laser-based height profile detection, the compact.UNI now offers numerous new application possibilities: whenever dimensions in the third dimension require contact-free measurement or a wide variety of component variants must be handled, we now provide a modular solution that meets the highest standards.

Based on the inspection capabilities of the KEYENCE laser scanner/profile measurement system, the following applications can now be realized:

Thickness/Width
Height/Difference
Outer and Inner Diameter
Position/Stroke
Oscillation/Vibration
Concentricity
Shape/Profile
3D Quality Inspection
